Michigan Incident Crime Reporting IEPD

MICR was developed to collect accurate and detailed crime data.  The database was originally created, following the FBI’s design, to update the current and prior calendar year’s data.  With the adoption of versioning and implementation of accepting (now requiring) Extensible Markup Language (XML), data is retained and easily updated for any year.  Agencies may also directly submit their incidents thru the Michigan Criminal Justice Information Network (MiCJIN) MICR Portal application for LEAs that do not have an RMS.
