Presentence Investigation Report
A Presentence Investigation Report is completed by the Probation Department and sent to the Court and the Prosecutor. The report is sent to the Public Defender if representing the subject. The Presentence Investigation Report contains court and defendant information charge information narrative section criminal history information and signature block. The Presentence Investigation Report is one of 44 IEPDs developed by the California Department of Justice - Data Exchange Project to support information exchange between state and local government organizations throughout the state of California. It could also be adapted for use in other states.
