Maritime Information Sharing Environment (MISE)

The MISE defines a low cost, implementable solution for maritime information sharing while providing mechanisms to mitigate associated legal and policy concerns. As a participant in the MISE, data providers and consumers manage and share maritime information through common data definitions and security attributes, resulting in an internet accessible, unclassified information sharing capability.

Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification (EBTS) v10.0

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) uses the Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification (EBTS) in support of exchanging biometric data to facilitate the determination of the personal identity of a subject from fingerprint, palm, facial or other biometric information, across criminal justice agencies or organizations that use an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) or related systems nationwide.

ICWA e-Notice IEPD

When a state or local child welfare agency has reason to believe that a child in its care has native heritage, the Indian Child Welfare Act requires that notice be provided to any and all Tribes that may have a right to intervene. The purpose of ICWA is to prevent the destruction of Indian families. Currently, ICWA notice is transmitted to Tribes through the United States Postal Service, with a return receipt (green postcard) requested.

Watercraft Registration and Title

This IEPD is intended to serve as a basis of a fully-tagged XML exchange for the Nlets Boat Registration Query (BQ) and Boat Registration Response (BR) messages. Currently the Nlets BQ is available as fully-tagged XML; however the Nlets BR is returned as basic text wrapped in a CDATA tag.  Only BR messages from the Coast Guard Registry return as fully-tagged XML but most of that information is not directly relevant to state-level watercraft registrations.
