Subpoena
A Subpoena is a command to appear before a designated court on a particular date and time as a witness in a criminal action prosecuted by The People of The State of California. A subpoena is sent from the Prosecutor and/or Public Defender to a Law Enforcement Agency and/or Sheriff's Department. The Subpoena contains court information such as court location date time and signature block. The Subpoena is one of 44 IEPDs developed by California Department of Justice - Data Exchange Project to support information exchange between state and local government organizations throughout the state of California. It could also be adapted for use in other states.
