NIEM OPENS BEST OF NIEM 2O2O AWARD NOMINATIONS

Each year, the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) celebrates those organizations which have made significant accomplishments in the use of NIEM with the Best of NIEM awards. The Best of NIEM 2020 will recognize organizations, groups, programs, and individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to the growth and adoption of NIEM.  Instructions are included in the Best of NIEM award nomination form. The Best of NIEM award nominations are now open through August 31, 2020, with awards announced at NIEM’s Executive Steering Council’s quarterly meeting in September.

We encourage our NIEM communities to use this opportunity to nominate those who have made significant contributions to NIEM.

About the National Information Exchange Model

The National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) provides a model framework with rules and guidance designed to develop consistent and well-defined enterprise-level information exchanges. For more than fourteen years, NIEM has successfully supported information communities of interest with a shared need for data interoperability across the public and private sector, both nationally and internationally.

NIEM’s Executive Steering Council (ESC) serves as NIEM’s decision-making body regarding membership, funding requirements, program or technical direction, personnel appointments, and organizational decisions associated with NIEM management.

NIEM’s Management Office (NMO) executes the ESC’s directions, while managing day-to-day operations, encouraging adoption and the use of NIEM, and overseeing all working group and committee activities. The NMO coordinates with domains, principal stakeholders, and other information-sharing initiatives to promote collaboration and interest associated with NIEM priorities.
