NIEM 4.1 Release Candidate Out for Review

NIEM 4.1 Release Candidate 1 (RC1) is available for public review and comment through Friday, June 8, 2018. Visit NIEM Releases on GitHub to view the package, or download the ZIP directly. Feedback may be submitted by either creating a new issue on GitHub or by emailing niem-comments@lists.gatech.edu.

This is the final stage before we officially publish NIEM 4.1. At this point in the release cycle, we are looking to address errors and bugs only. A series of release candidates (e.g., RC1, RC2, RC3) will be generated, tested, reviewed, and tweaked until the product is a quality release. This stage progresses quickly because reviews are short and refinements are very minor. Larger issues will be held for the next release.

The final (operational) release of NIEM 4.1 is projected for the late-June/mid-July timeframe. At that time, 4.1 schemas and documentation will be published along with updates to the tooling.
