Victim Impact Statement

A Victim Impact Statement is sent by a District Attorney (DA) to a Sheriff when an offender has been sentenced to a State Institution.  The Victim Impact Statement is included in the Pen Packet. The Victim Impact Statement is one of 28 IEPDs developed by the Texas Path to NIEM project to support information exchange between state and local government organizations throughout the state of Texas.  It could also be adapted for use in other states.
