Request for Prosecution In Custody

A Request for Prosecution In Custody is a request from a Law Enforcement Agency to the Prosecutor.  A Law Enforcement Agency requests a complaint from the Prosecutor if the Law Enforcement Agency determines a crime was committed and if a subject is in custody and if the Law Enforcement Agency finds probable cause to request a complaint.  The Request for Prosecution In Custody is one of 44 IEPDs developed by the California Department of Justice - Data Exchange Project to support information exchange between state and local government organizations throughout the state of California.  It could also be adapted for use in other states.
