Request for Prosecution Based on Felony

A Request for Prosecution Based on Felony is sent from a Law Enforcement Agency to the Prosecutor If a Law Enforcement Agency determines a crime was committed and if the crime was a felony and if the Law Enforcement Agency finds probable cause to refer the case to the Prosecutor.  The Request for Prosecution Based on Felony contains court information defendant information charge information and witness information.  The Request for Prosecution Based on Felony is one of 44 IEPDs developed by the California Department of Justice - Data Exchange Project to support information exchange between state and local government organizations throughout the state of California.  It could also be adapted for use in other states.
