Notice of Priority Re-examination of Driver Form (DS427)

A Notice of Priority Re-examination of Driver Form (DS427) is sent from a Law Enforcement Officer to the California Department of Motor Vehicles when an Officer believes that a subject's driving privilege should be investigated.  The Officer indicates on the Notice of Priority Re-examination of Driver Form (DS427) what actions were displayed by the subject to lead the Officer to believe a re-examination of driving privilege is needed.  The Notice of Priority Re-examination of Driver Form (DS427) contains information relevant to the driver location of occurrence summary of actions and possible traffic law violations and a signature block.  The Notice of Priority Re-examination of Driver Form (DS427) is one of 44 IEPDs developed by the California Department of Justice - Data Exchange Project to support information exchange between state and local government organizations throughout the state of California.  It could also be adapted for use in other states.
