North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) IEPD

NC FAST Visit disclaimer page is a program designed to improve the way the NC Department of Health and Human Services and county departments of social services do business and provide services. In order to accomplish this, NC DHHS defined a series of data exchanges to facilitate data sharing and services among the service providers. DHHS selected the NIEM process and standards to expedite the development of these exchanges and maximize reusability of the data from NIEM and within DHHS. Within NCFAST IEPD are a series of IEPD’s developed based on a NCFAST NIEM compliant canonical model. The IEPD’s include: address validation, case information, common name, legacy FNS lookup, NFFNS search, program integrity, and verification. The IEPD’s has been developed and deployed.
